Suspected bandits have kidnapped the wife and son of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Yusuf Alhasan, in a fresh incident that has further heightened security concerns in the region.
According to reports, the attackers stormed Alhasan’s residence located in the Low-Cost area of Yauri at about midnight on Monday. During the operation, the armed assailants reportedly seized the APC chairman’s wife and son before taking them to an unknown destination.
The incident was first brought to public attention by security analyst and conflict reporter Bakatsine, who disclosed the development in a post shared on X. Details surrounding the abduction remain limited, and the identities of the victims have not been officially released.
As of the time of this report, neither security agencies nor the Kebbi State Government had issued an official statement regarding the kidnapping.
