Galatasaray Rejects Atletico Madrid’s €120 Million Bid for Victor Osimhen

Turkish champions Galatasaray have reportedly rejected a massive €120 million offer from Atletico Madrid for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, underlining their determination to keep one of the most sought-after forwards in world football.

According to reports from Turkey, Atletico Madrid submitted the record-breaking bid as they continue their search for a world-class striker amid uncertainty surrounding the future of key attacking players within the squad. The Spanish giants identified Osimhen as a priority target, but Galatasaray have made it clear that they are not ready to part ways with their star forward.

The reported offer, which would have been one of the biggest transfers in football history, highlights the growing demand for the Super Eagles striker following another outstanding season in Turkey. Osimhen has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific goal scorers, delivering crucial goals and match-winning performances for Galatasaray in both domestic and European competitions.

Since completing a permanent move from Napoli, the 27-year-old has become a central figure in Galatasaray’s ambitions. His impact has been felt across all competitions, helping the club maintain its dominance in the Turkish Super Lig while also strengthening its presence on the European stage.

Osimhen’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed. Several of Europe’s elite clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, are reportedly monitoring his situation as they evaluate potential reinforcements ahead of the new season.

Galatasaray’s refusal to entertain Atletico Madrid’s offer sends a strong message about the club’s ambitions. Having invested heavily to secure Osimhen’s services and committed to a long-term project built around the Nigerian international, the Turkish side appears determined to retain one of its most valuable assets.

The decision is particularly significant given the financial scale of the offer. Clubs outside Europe’s traditional top five leagues rarely reject bids of such magnitude, making Galatasaray’s stance a clear indication of how highly they value the striker and his importance to their future plans.

Despite the rejection, speculation surrounding Osimhen’s future is unlikely to disappear anytime soon. With the transfer window still open and interest continuing to grow from some of Europe’s wealthiest clubs, further offers could emerge in the coming weeks.

For now, however, Galatasaray remain firm in their position. The club believes Osimhen is central to its ambitions both domestically and in European competition, and they appear prepared to resist attempts to lure him away, even when faced with a record-breaking transfer proposal.

As the summer transfer window progresses, football fans across Europe will be watching closely to see whether Galatasaray can hold on to their prized striker or whether another blockbuster offer will eventually test their resolve.
