‘We Will Rescue Your Sister and Nephews’ — Governor Makinde Assures Adebayo Adelabu

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, that every effort is being made to secure the safe release of his abducted sister and her twin sons. The governor gave the assurance on Friday during a visit to Adelabu, where he expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family following the kidnapping incident that has generated concern across Oyo State.

Makinde described the abduction as deeply troubling and reassured the former minister that security agencies were actively working to rescue the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice.

During the visit, the governor offered words of comfort to the family and emphasized the state government’s commitment to supporting ongoing security operations aimed at securing the safe return of the abducted woman and her children. He further pledged that those responsible for the crime would not escape justice, stressing that efforts were underway to identify, track, and apprehend all individuals connected to the incident.

The governor’s visit comes amid growing concerns about security challenges in parts of Oyo State and renewed calls from residents for stronger measures to protect lives and property.
