Kyiv Rail Repairs Underway After Overnight Russian Attack (VIDEO)

Following a heavy missile and drone assault on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, railway repair crews are racing against time to restore vital transport lines damaged during the overnight Russian strike. Officials say restoration work is progressing swiftly and is expected to be completed by midday Friday.

The attack, part of a broader wave of strikes across Ukraine, targeted both civilian infrastructure and transport networks. One of the missiles struck a section of the city’s railway, forcing Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s national rail company, to temporarily reroute several trains and disrupt scheduled services.

“Our teams are working around the clock to assess and repair the damage,” said a spokesperson for Ukrzaliznytsia. “Passenger safety and restoring normal operations remain our top priorities.”

The strike not only caused physical damage to the railway system but also triggered delays for commuters and cargo transport, underlining Russia’s continued focus on crippling Ukraine’s logistics and infrastructure. Despite the challenges, authorities have assured the public that the situation is under control and full service will be resumed promptly.

This latest round of Russian aggression comes amid heightened tensions, with both sides ramping up their use of drones and long-range missiles. As Ukraine continues to endure attacks on its cities and vital services, the resilience of its infrastructure and emergency response remains critical to keeping the country moving—even under fire.
