U.S. Defense Department Releases New UFO Files Featuring Reports of Green Orbs and Mysterious Objects

The United States Department of Defense has released a second batch of previously classified files related to alleged UFO sightings and unexplained aerial phenomena, further fueling public fascination with the possibility of extraterrestrial activity and unexplained military encounters.

The newly declassified materials, released on Friday, include documents, photos, and reports detailing sightings of mysterious objects described as green orbs, discs, and fireballs observed near sensitive military locations in the United States.

The disclosure follows an earlier release made public on May 8 under the direction of Donald Trump, continuing a long-running process of declassifying government records related to unidentified flying objects, now officially referred to as “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAPs).

According to the Defense Department, one of the most significant files in the latest release contains 116 pages of records tied to investigations conducted between 1948 and 1950 at a highly secretive facility in Sandia, New Mexico.

Officials said the file documents 209 reported sightings involving unusual aerial objects, including glowing green spheres, disc-shaped craft, and unexplained fireball-like phenomena observed near the military base during that period.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that speculation surrounding UFOs and unexplained aerial incidents has persisted for decades due to the secrecy surrounding government investigations.

In a public statement, he said the time had come for Americans to review the information themselves, emphasizing transparency regarding historical military records tied to unexplained sightings.

Interest in UFO disclosures has steadily grown over the years, especially after several U.S. administrations acknowledged the existence of military investigations into unusual aerial encounters involving pilots, radar systems, and classified defense zones.

However, despite the intrigue surrounding the newly released files, experts reviewing previous batches of declassified materials noted that there is still no confirmed evidence proving the existence of alien life or extraterrestrial technology.

Analysts said the earlier documents mainly included additional footage and reports of already known incidents, without providing definitive proof that the objects originated beyond Earth.

Still, the latest release is expected to intensify debate among UFO researchers, skeptics, scientists, and the general public, many of whom continue to question whether governments possess undisclosed information about unexplained aerial phenomena.

The topic remains one of the most controversial and widely discussed mysteries in modern history, blending national security concerns, scientific curiosity, and public fascination with the possibility of life beyond Earth.

As more files continue to emerge through official declassification efforts, attention is likely to remain focused on what future disclosures could reveal about decades of unexplained sightings recorded by military personnel and government agencies.
