US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran’s authorities, cautioning them against using deadly force on peaceful protesters amid escalating unrest in the country.
In a strongly worded message released by the US government in Persian, Trump warned Iranian leaders that severe consequences would follow if protesters are killed. Emphasising his readiness to act, he declared, “I am a man of action. If you don’t know, now you do.”
The warning was reinforced by a brief but ominous post Trump shared on social media, where he stated that the United States was “locked and loaded and ready to go,” without providing further operational details. He added that Washington would “come to the rescue” of protesters if Iranian authorities resorted to violence.
Tensions have risen sharply as reports indicate that protesters have, for the first time, appeared armed in several locations. Israeli media outlets have also suggested that significant developments may be imminent, fuelling speculation about potential regional consequences.
Adding to the charged atmosphere, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett posted a cryptic message saying, “The time has come,” a remark widely interpreted as signaling support for decisive action against Iran’s leadership.
Trump’s statements mark one of his most direct warnings to Tehran in recent times, underscoring growing international concern over Iran’s handling of domestic protests and the possibility of broader confrontation. As events continue to unfold, the situation remains volatile, with global attention fixed on Tehran and Washington alike.
