Tompolo Donates 50 Vehicles to Tinubu’s Door-to-Door Movement in Kano

Niger Delta businessman and political figure Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 50 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement to support grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The vehicles were presented in Kano on Sunday, September 27, as the movement expanded its grassroots campaign structure in the state. They are expected to support mobilisation activities across Kano’s 44 local government areas.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement was established to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election and communicate the administration’s policies and programmes directly to residents. Organisers said they intend to establish coordinators and ambassadors at grassroots and polling-unit levels as part of the campaign strategy.

Receiving the vehicles, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said they would be deployed to support political structures and groups across the state as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.

“These vehicles being presented today will be deployed to support our political structures and groups across the state, across the political local government areas, as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Yusuf said.

The governor also called for peaceful and issue-based campaigns, urging political actors to focus on their programmes and records rather than personal attacks.

Speaking on behalf of Tompolo, Delta State House of Assembly Speaker Emomotimi Dennis Guwor said the movement plans to establish coordinators and ambassadors at ward and polling-unit levels. He said the strategy is intended to allow campaign representatives to engage directly with residents and explain the administration’s policies.

The Kano donation follows similar mobilisation activities by the movement in other northern states. Reports said the group had earlier presented campaign vehicles in Katsina and Borno as it builds its grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

Tompolo, through his representative, also spoke about the administration’s economic reforms and infrastructure projects while explaining the movement’s support for Tinubu. Those remarks were political campaign claims rather than independent assessments of the policies’ effects.

The 50 vehicles will now form part of the movement’s mobilisation resources in Kano as political parties and campaign organisations begin strengthening their structures ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The development adds to the growing campaign activity surrounding the next presidential election, with political groups increasingly establishing grassroots networks and logistical structures across different parts of the country.
