US President Donald Trump has unveiled what he described as a “Golden Gift” for the White House as the United States prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of its founding.
On Monday, Trump shared an image on his Truth Social platform showing what appeared to be an AI-generated concept of a massive golden bald eagle mounted on the Truman Balcony of the White House. The striking design features the iconic American eagle with its wings spread across the balcony’s columns, while a stars-and-stripes shield is prominently displayed on the front of the balcony.
Accompanying the image, the president wrote, “A Golden Gift to the White House for its 250th Birthday Year!” The post quickly attracted widespread attention online, sparking discussions about the symbolic design and whether the concept could eventually become a reality.
The bald eagle has long been recognized as one of the most enduring symbols of the United States, representing freedom, strength and national pride. By presenting the golden eagle concept, Trump appeared to tie the country’s national emblem to the upcoming milestone celebration marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
The White House later amplified the announcement by reposting the image on its official X account, a move widely seen as an endorsement of the president’s post and the commemorative concept.
Although the image has not been officially confirmed as a construction or renovation plan for the White House, it has generated significant public interest because of its dramatic appearance and the use of artificial intelligence to visualize the proposed design.
