Nigeria’s football community has been thrown into mourning following the death of Sunday Ndidi, the father of Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi, who died after a road accident in Delta State.
According to reports, Sunday Ndidi, a retired military officer, was involved in a fatal accident on Tuesday in Umunede, Delta State. He was rushed to a hospital in Agbor, where doctors later confirmed his death, bringing a heartbreaking end to efforts to save his life.
The tragic news was made public by Beşiktaş, the Turkish club where Wilfred Ndidi currently plays. In a condolence message shared on social media, the club expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a painful moment for their key midfielder and his family.
