A Fulani man has cried out in anguish over the continued killing of Fulani herders and their cattle in Benue State, lamenting the silence of authorities and the lack of swift action from security agencies.
Speaking with deep emotion, he said, “Many Fulanis have been unalived with their cows in Benue State. We took the matter to the security council, and till now, they haven’t done anything. Why does nobody care when a Fulani is unalived? Are we not human? Are we not citizens of Nigeria?”
His emotional plea reflects growing frustration among members of the Fulani community, who claim they are often targeted yet receive little protection or justice. Reports of violence between herders and farming communities have persisted in several parts of Nigeria, especially in the Middle Belt region, where tensions over land and resources remain high.
The man’s statement has since reignited discussions on the need for fairness, equal protection, and national unity, regardless of ethnic or regional background. Many Nigerians have taken to social media to express sympathy, urging the government and security agencies to treat every life — irrespective of tribe — as valuable.
As insecurity continues to affect different parts of the country, calls for justice and peace have intensified, with citizens demanding a more balanced approach to resolving conflicts and protecting all communities.
