FBI Director Kash Patel Engaged to Country Singer Alexis Wilkins

FBI Director Kash Patel has announced his engagement to country singer and political commentator Alexis Wilkins. Wilkins, 27, announced the engagement on October 4, 2026, by sharing a black-and-white photograph of herself with Patel on X, displaying her engagement ring.

“Went and got the law involved,” Wilkins wrote alongside the photograph, adding heart and engagement-ring emojis. Patel, 46, later reposted the announcement on his own account.

The couple have been in a relationship since 2023 after meeting at an event in Nashville. Wilkins was also present when Patel was sworn in as FBI director in February 2025.

Wilkins is a country music artist who released her debut EP, Grit, in 2023. She has also worked as a political commentator and has been associated with several conservative organisations and events.

Their relationship has attracted public attention during Patel’s tenure as FBI director. In particular, Patel has faced scrutiny over the use of government aircraft for some trips connected to events where Wilkins was performing. Patel has defended his use of government aircraft and said personal travel is reimbursed in accordance with applicable rules.

Wilkins has also appeared alongside Patel at several high-profile events, including his FBI swearing-in ceremony and events connected to the Trump administration.

The couple have not announced a wedding date.

The engagement marks the latest development in a relationship that has remained in the public spotlight because of Patel’s position as head of the FBI and Wilkins’ career in country music and political commentary.
