Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid is currently leading the race for International Male Artist at the 2026 BreakTudo Awards, according to the first partial ranking released by the Brazilian entertainment awards. Wizkid currently sits at number one in the category, ahead of global stars Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny and The Weeknd.
The ranking was released as voting continues for the 2026 edition of the BreakTudo Awards. The International Male Artist category features eight nominees, including Wizkid, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, Burna Boy, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Sombr and The Weeknd.
The first partial ranking places Wizkid in the top position, followed by Bruno Mars in second place and Justin Bieber in third. Bad Bunny currently occupies fourth place, while The Weeknd is fifth in the published Top 5.
The ranking reflects the current voting position and is not the final result. Voting for the 2026 BreakTudo Awards is scheduled to run from September 17 to October 17, with the winners to be announced at the awards ceremony in São Paulo on November 24.
Wizkid’s nomination comes as the Nigerian singer continues to feature prominently in international music awards. He was also nominated in the Global Artist category at the 2025 BreakTudo Awards, although he did not win that category. The 2025 International Male Artist award went to BTS member Jimin.
This year’s nomination puts Wizkid in competition with some of the biggest names in global pop and hip-hop, making the current position particularly notable for Nigerian music fans.
With several weeks remaining before voting closes, the current ranking could still change as fans continue to cast their votes. For now, however, Wizkid holds the top position in the first official partial ranking for International Male Artist at the BreakTudo Awards 2026. The final winner will be determined after voting concludes, with the ceremony scheduled for November 24 in São Paulo, Brazil.
