The announcement was made by the Nigeria Spelling Bee through its official Facebook page, where the organisation celebrated the team’s outstanding performance and congratulated the young scholars for bringing pride to the nation.

Adding to the celebration, Ar-Raheem International College, Ilorin, confirmed that two of its students, Maryam Yusuf and Abdurrahman Yusuf, won medals during the competition. The school described the achievement as a proud moment for the institution and praised the students for their dedication, discipline and exceptional academic performance.

Prior to the tournament, the Nigeria Spelling Bee described the team’s qualification as a landmark achievement, noting that it was the first time the country would participate in the global competition. The organisation expressed confidence in the students’ abilities, highlighting their determination and commitment throughout the selection process.
