Bank of Scotland Unveils £20 Note Honouring Scott McTominay’s Iconic Goal

Bank of Scotland has introduced a special limited edition £20 note celebrating Scott McTominay and Scotland’s long-awaited return to the FIFA World Cup stage.

The commemorative banknote was created to mark a historic achievement for the Scottish men’s national team, which secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup — the country’s first appearance at the tournament since 1998. At the centre of the design is an image inspired by McTominay’s unforgettable overhead kick during Scotland’s thrilling 4-2 victory over Denmark at Hampden Park.
