In a powerful show of compassion and solidarity, Joshua Selman, founder of Eternity Network International, widely known as Koinonia Global, has donated over N200 million in cash and relief materials to victims of the recent attacks in Plateau State.
The donation was announced during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Jos, where the cleric met with the state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, in the wake of the tragic incidents that have left several communities grieving.
Governor Mutfwang, while receiving Selman and his delegation, emphasized the urgent need for unity and collective responsibility in preserving peace across Plateau State. He described the visit as a meaningful gesture of support, noting that it came at a critical time when the state is seeking healing and stability.
The governor expressed deep appreciation for Selman’s intervention, highlighting his influence and impact not just within the state but across the country. He referred to the cleric as a respected voice whose contributions continue to uplift lives and inspire hope, especially during difficult moments.
Beyond acknowledging the donation, Mutfwang also stressed the importance of inclusiveness in the government’s response to the crisis. He revealed that assistance had been extended to both Christian and Muslim families affected by the violence, reinforcing the message that Plateau’s strength lies in its diversity and shared humanity.
He noted that reaching out to all victims, regardless of religious background, was a deliberate effort to promote unity and demonstrate compassion. According to him, Plateau belongs to everyone, and lasting peace can only be achieved when communities stand together.
The governor also recognized the wave of support and condolences received from across Nigeria and the international community, including from Bola Tinubu. He said such gestures have strengthened the resolve of the people to overcome the current challenges.
While assuring residents that the government is taking steps to prevent further attacks, Mutfwang urged citizens not to lose hope. He called on all stakeholders to work together in building a more peaceful and united Plateau State.
Selman’s donation not only provides immediate relief to affected families but also serves as a reminder of the power of empathy, leadership, and collective action in times of crisis.
