“Crypto Will Make You Not Need a Job,” Says Binance Founder CZ

Changpeng Zhao, widely known as CZ and the founder of Binance, has sparked fresh debate about the future of work after suggesting that cryptocurrency could make traditional jobs unnecessary for many people.

In a recent statement shared online, CZ argued that rapid advances in artificial intelligence are likely to disrupt millions of jobs worldwide. According to him, while AI may reduce the need for human labor across many industries, cryptocurrency offers an alternative path to financial independence.

CZ encouraged people to consider long-term investment in digital assets, saying that those who “buy and hold” could potentially retire within a few years. He suggested that crypto, when approached with patience and discipline, has the power to free individuals from reliance on salaried employment.

The Binance founder painted a future where technology plays two opposing roles: artificial intelligence replaces jobs, while cryptocurrency creates opportunities for wealth generation without traditional employment. In his view, early adopters who understand and commit to the crypto market stand to benefit the most as digital finance continues to evolve.

His comments have resonated strongly within the crypto community, where many already see blockchain technology as a tool for decentralization, financial freedom, and independence from conventional economic systems. Supporters argue that crypto allows people to build wealth globally without geographic or institutional barriers.
