Andrew Tate has opened up about his defeat to Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor, offering a mix of self-criticism, reflection, and philosophical reasoning following his first official boxing appearance.
Tate made his boxing debut last weekend in Dubai but was beaten on points by DeMoor after visibly fading in the latter stages of the fight. While two judges scored the bout in DeMoor’s favour, the third saw it as a draw. According to Tate, the turning point came after the second round when he unexpectedly ran out of energy.
Speaking after the fight, Tate insisted that he had control early on, claiming his opponent struggled to land clean shots in the opening rounds. He said fatigue changed everything, adding that had he maintained his stamina, the outcome would likely have been different.
However, Tate went further than simply analysing the physical aspects of the bout. He suggested the result may have been beyond his control, hinting that the fight’s outcome was already “written.” He questioned why he became tired despite believing he was in peak condition, saying the situation did not make sense to him on a purely physical level.
Tate framed the loss as part of a larger plan, arguing that there may be deeper reasons why DeMoor was meant to win that night. He speculated that the victory might have meant more to his opponent, who has faced heavy online criticism in the past, and suggested that fate—or divine intervention—may have decided the result.
In an emotional reflection, Tate said he was at peace with the loss, believing that setbacks sometimes serve purposes people may not immediately understand. He stressed the importance of accepting outcomes with humility and faith, even when they are difficult to explain.
Despite earlier hints that the fight may not have gone as expected, Tate was careful not to diminish DeMoor’s achievement. He made it clear that he believes DeMoor earned the victory and deserves the recognition, money, and attention that come with it. Tate emphasized that taking away an opponent’s win is wrong and encouraged respect for those who step into the ring and succeed.
The fight has sparked widespread debate online, not just about the result but also about Tate’s mindset going into the bout and his future in boxing. Whether or not he returns to the ring, his debut—and the reflections that followed—have ensured the contest remains a talking point well beyond the final bell.
