Obi Cubana’s ‘Cash Flow’ Lounge Handed Over to New Owner as Court Enforces Eviction Order in Abuja

The long-running legal battle over the ownership of the popular Cash Flow club building in Abuja has reached a decisive conclusion, as the FCT High Court Enforcement Unit officially handed over the property to businessman Collins Onwuzulike. The enforcement took place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Wuse II, following an eviction order issued by the court.

The property, formerly operated by renowned businessman and socialite Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, was taken over early in the morning as court officials executed the ruling. Enforcement officers began work around 8 a.m., immediately supervising the evacuation and dismantling of items belonging to the lounge.

Witnesses at the scene reported that workers dismantled large industrial equipment, including generators, air conditioners, furniture, and other fittings associated with the club’s operations. Staff members of the lounge were seen outside the premises, watching helplessly as the property was cleared.

A bold notice announcing the ongoing eviction was pasted at the entrance, signaling the formal transfer of possession to Onwuzulike.

This enforcement comes after months of legal tussles between both parties. An earlier attempt last month had temporarily restored possession to Onwuzulike but was halted due to conflicting court orders issued by another court in Bwari. The latest enforcement by the FCT High Court has now provided a clear resolution to the ownership dispute.

With the handover complete and the building already being torn down, the property is officially under the control of its new owner, marking a significant turn in one of Abuja’s most publicized property battles.
