Controversial social commentator VeryDarkMan has expressed strong skepticism about calls for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, arguing that most advocacy efforts in Nigeria lack consistency and long-term commitment.
Speaking in a recent video, he stated that many Nigerians only become vocal when an issue is trending on social media, but lose interest shortly after—leaving important causes without sustained pressure. According to him, this pattern is why movements like “Free Nnamdi Kanu” rarely achieve meaningful results.
VeryDarkMan compared the situation to the once-vibrant Justice for Ochanya movement, which gained national attention but eventually lost momentum despite its significance. He warned that without consistent activism and genuine public engagement, many of these advocacy campaigns will continue to fade out before real change is achieved.
His remarks have sparked renewed conversations online about the effectiveness of social movements in Nigeria and the need for long-term commitment to drive accountability and justice.
