Fresh controversy has emerged within the Daniels family, as reports suggest that Sammy West, brother to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, is allegedly being taken to court without the family’s consent.
According to a series of posts by his brother, Lawrence “Law” Daniels, shared on Instagram, Sammy was reportedly moved from Lagos to Abuja under unclear circumstances. Lawrence expressed deep concern over the secrecy surrounding his brother’s transfer, claiming that the family has been denied access to him and left in the dark about the entire process.
Lawrence wrote, “Sammy has been taken straight to court from Lagos. No disclosure of the court — nobody knows his whereabouts. We’ve been at the police command… Is this a kidnap??”
He later provided an update, stating that Sammy was allegedly being transported to the Federal Capital Territory via Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA). “News Update!!! Sammy is currently at MMA being conveyed to Abuja as we speak!!! #FreeSammy — our lawyers are on standby!” he added.
Family sources have reportedly confirmed that Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, was also denied access to her son despite multiple attempts to reach him. Legal representatives are said to be following the situation closely as they work to verify the exact location and legal grounds for the transfer.
