Tensions between Israel and Lebanon escalated further on Monday as the Israeli military launched multiple airstrikes on southern Lebanese towns, killing and wounding several civilians.

According to reports from Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, two Israeli missiles struck the town of Kfardounine in southern Lebanon, while a separate airstrike targeted a civilian vehicle in Doueir, located in the Nabatieh district. The strike set several vehicles ablaze and caused extensive damage to nearby shops and buildings.

Civil defense teams immediately rushed to the scene to extinguish fires and rescue the wounded, as local authorities confirmed one martyr and multiple casualties in the Doueir attack. Another person was also reported killed following a separate Israeli strike on Aita al-Shaab, intensifying fears of a broader conflict across Lebanon’s southern border.

The bombardment followed earlier attacks on Sunday, when an Israeli drone strike targeted the area between Zefta and Nmairiyeh, also in the Nabatieh district. Later, Israeli forces launched incendiary munitions on the outskirts of Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district and fired two flares over Shebaa, in southern Lebanon.

These attacks mark the latest in a series of cross-border escalations between Israel and Hezbollah-linked regions in Lebanon amid the ongoing Gaza conflict. Residents in southern Lebanon have reported growing fear and displacement as Israeli air raids continue to strike areas near civilian populations.
