Toluwani Odukoya, Associate Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, has revealed how her marital separation and a series of painful personal losses shaped her faith and solidified her pastoral calling.

Speaking during an interview with Truthtable, shared via her personal YouTube channel on Thursday, the 40-year-old daughter of the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya disclosed that her marriage ended due to circumstances beyond her control.

“I’ll say I’m separated. Most of you don’t know I’m separated, and that has actually defined or shaped my life. It was circumstances beyond my control,” she explained.

Toluwani described the end of her marriage as “a death,” adding that the period between 2021 and 2023 was marked by a series of heartbreaking losses, including the deaths of her stepmother, her father’s twin sister, and her father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

Reflecting on her marriage, she emphasized that separation does not necessarily make anyone involved a bad person. “My ex-husband is a great man… but if God doesn’t ordain you guys to be together and you force-fit yourselves, the likelihood of staying together is very low,” she noted.

Despite the emotional toll, Odukoya said she found strength in her calling to ministry, even at moments when she felt unworthy. “When the call came, I told God, ‘You know all the baggage I’m trying to navigate. But if you call me to serve, then maybe you’ve put something in me.’ I just decided to keep my eyes on Jesus.”

She further acknowledged the unwavering support of her family during those turbulent years, stressing how their encouragement kept her grounded. “My dad fought for me. My family encouraged me. That embrace added to my self-esteem and self-worth,” she shared.
