In a dramatic operation, U.S. federal authorities have dismantled a major Tren de Aragua terror network operating out of Chicago. The coordinated raid was carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the U.S. Border Patrol.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, 37 suspected members of the violent gang were arrested during the sweep. The suspects are believed to be connected to Tren de Aragua, a notorious criminal organization accused of drug trafficking, violence, and cross-border crimes across the Americas.

The raid unfolded in an apartment complex identified as a hub for the gang’s activities. Witnesses reported seeing federal agents descend from Black Hawk helicopters onto rooftops as tactical teams stormed the buildings.

Tren de Aragua, originally from Venezuela, has expanded its operations internationally, raising alarms among U.S. security agencies. Authorities have described the network’s presence in American cities as a growing national security threat.
