Violent clashes broke out in the Italian city of Turin as Antifa and pro-Palestine demonstrators confronted police during protests against Israel’s interception of the Gaza Flotilla carrying activist Greta and her companions.
According to local reports, protesters took to the streets in anger over the Israeli Navy’s actions, which prevented the flotilla from reaching Gaza. The demonstration quickly escalated as groups of Antifa and anti-Israel activists clashed with security forces, throwing objects and engaging in violent confrontations.
Police deployed crowd-control measures to disperse the rioters, while several arrests and injuries were reported. The protest highlights growing tensions in Europe over the ongoing Gaza blockade and Israel’s interception of humanitarian or activist missions attempting to reach the territory.
The Gaza Flotilla incident has reignited international debate, drawing sharp criticism from pro-Palestine groups and sparking demonstrations across different cities. Turin has now become the latest flashpoint as European activists intensify calls for an end to the blockade.
