U.S. President Donald Trump has rolled out a landmark immigration initiative, the “Trump Gold Card Visa,” which grants permanent residency to foreign nationals ready to invest at least $1 million in the United States.

The executive order, signed on Friday, sets up a direct pathway to residency through investment, while also introducing a hefty $100,000 annual fee for companies sponsoring H-1B workers.

According to the government website promoting the program, emblazoned with the tagline “The Trump Gold Card is Here. Unlock life in America,” the visa offers wealthy applicants a chance at long-term residency in exchange for economic contributions. The site also displays a striking mock-up card featuring Trump’s portrait, his signature, the Statue of Liberty, and a bald eagle.

The Gold Card program, first previewed in June, has already begun accepting applications. In addition to individual investors, U.S.-based corporations can sponsor applicants by contributing at least $2 million to the federal government.

This move is being positioned as one of the Trump administration’s boldest immigration reforms, tying U.S. residency directly to financial investment. For affluent individuals and companies, the Gold Card promises not just legal status, but also a fast-tracked gateway to living and doing business in America.
