Israeli forces have escalated their offensive in Gaza, demolishing multiple buildings and issuing fresh evacuation orders as the humanitarian crisis deepens. According to medics, at least 53 Palestinians were killed across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, with 35 of the fatalities reported in Gaza City alone.

The Israeli military targeted 16 structures, including three major residential towers, as part of its push to seize control of northern Gaza and displace its residents. Among the destroyed buildings was the al-Kawthar tower in the Remal neighborhood of southern Gaza City, which was marked by the IDF before being hit with missile strikes two hours later.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza also confirmed that two Palestinians died of malnutrition, bringing the total number of hunger-related deaths to 422 since the start of the war. The continuing blockade and bombardment have left tens of thousands of people displaced and struggling to survive without access to adequate food, water, or shelter.

“We don’t know where to go,” said Marwan al-Safi, one of the displaced residents. “We need a solution to this situation… We are dying here.”

The intensification of Israeli strikes has sparked mounting fears of further civilian casualties and worsening humanitarian conditions as Gaza’s population continues to flee in search of safety.
