A large fire has broken out on Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh, sending thick smoke billowing into the sky and drawing attention from across the city. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed on Sunday afternoon that crews are on the scene tackling the blaze, which has prompted safety warnings for residents and visitors.

Located in Holyrood Park, just a short walk from Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, Arthur’s Seat is a popular hiking spot offering sweeping views of the capital. Witnesses reported seeing people running to safety as flames spread across the hillside.
