Israeli police, alongside the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet (Israel’s internal security agency), detained two Palestinian suspects accused of attempting to establish a terror cell in the al-Am’ari refugee camp near Ramallah in the West Bank.
The arrests took place during a targeted raid aimed at dismantling potential militant activity in the area. Security officials said the two individuals were in the early stages of organizing a cell intended to carry out attacks against Israeli targets. Intelligence gathered by Shin Bet reportedly played a critical role in identifying and tracking the suspects.

The al-Am’ari refugee camp has long been considered a flashpoint for tension between Israeli forces and local Palestinian residents. It is known for its dense population, narrow alleys, and history of clashes during Israeli raids.
As tensions in the West Bank remain high, particularly in the lead-up to major religious and political events, Israeli forces have intensified security operations aimed at preventing militant activity. Palestinian officials, meanwhile, continue to condemn such raids, calling them violations of sovereignty and contributors to ongoing instability in the region.
