Leipzig’s failure to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League has reportedly played a key role in Simons’ decision to seek a move, with the young attacker eager to compete at the highest level of European football.

Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, is said to be heavily involved in the transfer discussions, as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options.
