The Pakistan Army officially inducted the Chinese-built Z-10ME-02 attack helicopters during a ceremony held at the Multan Army Aviation Base. The induction marks the first international export of the Z-10ME — China’s advanced, export-oriented attack helicopter — and represents a notable milestone in military cooperation between the two nations.
The induction ceremony was presided over by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, who was on an official visit to Multan Garrison. The event also featured a live firepower demonstration at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges, where the Z-10ME showcased its precision strike capabilities in both day and night operations.

According to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Z-10ME is a state-of-the-art, all-weather combat platform equipped with cutting-edge radar systems and sophisticated electronic warfare suites. Designed for high-intensity missions, the helicopter significantly enhances the Pakistan Army’s ability to respond to aerial and ground threats, including counterterrorism operations.

Military analysts suggest that the Z-10ME’s deployment will strengthen Pakistan’s defense posture, particularly in rugged and hostile environments where agile, high-powered support is crucial. With its powerful armament and advanced targeting systems, the helicopter brings a new edge to the country’s Army Aviation Corps.

A Chinese defense expert, quoted in local media, noted that this marks the first export deal for the Z-10 series — underlining growing demand for Chinese military hardware and signaling deeper strategic ties between Islamabad and Beijing.

As regional security dynamics evolve, Pakistan’s move to enhance its rotary-wing capabilities with the Z-10ME underscores a broader focus on operational readiness, technology-driven defense upgrades, and strategic deterrence in a complex geopolitical landscape.
