Heavy rainfall has triggered widespread flooding in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, causing major disruptions across the city. Streets were submerged, vehicles stranded, and residents forced to navigate rising waters as emergency crews rushed to respond to the unfolding situation.
The torrential downpour, which began earlier in the day, overwhelmed the city’s drainage systems, flooding homes, businesses, and public infrastructure. Videos and images shared online show cars floating down roads turned into rivers, while pedestrians sought shelter from the relentless rain.

Municipal authorities have issued warnings urging residents to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. Public transportation services have also been affected, with several routes suspended due to waterlogged roads and unsafe conditions.

Emergency teams have been deployed to assist with rescue operations, drain water from critical areas, and provide support to those whose homes have been affected.
