In a bold and unconventional act of protest, anti-ICE demonstrators temporarily shut down a major bridge, turning it into a stage for music, movement, and resistance.
The protesters, opposing ongoing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations, took to the streets—literally—by dancing across the bridge to draw attention to what they describe as unjust and inhumane immigration enforcement tactics.
The demonstration brought traffic to a standstill as dozens of protesters chanted, waved signs, and performed choreographed dances to the rhythm of live drums and amplified music.

Organizers said the choice of dance was intentional—using joy and art as a form of civil disobedience to highlight the fear and trauma immigrant communities face under ICE surveillance and raids.

“We are dancing because our communities deserve to live without fear,” one protester shouted through a megaphone. “We’re here to disrupt not just traffic, but the system that criminalizes migration.” The protest was peaceful, though heavily policed, with law enforcement officers monitoring the crowd and rerouting traffic.
