Azerbaijan Detains Russian Nationals in Baku Over Drug Transit (VIDEO)

Authorities in Azerbaijan have detained two separate groups of Russian citizens in the capital city of Baku, with the individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and internet-based financial fraud. The arrests mark a significant move in Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to crack down on transnational crime networks operating within its borders.

According to officials, the suspects were allegedly engaged in the transit of illegal narcotics through Azerbaijani territory, as well as sophisticated online scams targeting victims both locally and internationally.
