A devastating flash flood in Pakistan’s Swat Valley has claimed the lives of 18 members of the same family, according to local media reports. The tragedy unfolded when a sudden surge of water from the Swat River overwhelmed the area, sweeping the victims away before rescue teams could respond.
The incident occurred amid heavy monsoon rains that have battered northern Pakistan in recent days, triggering landslides, river overflows, and widespread flooding in mountainous regions.
