Panic spread across Bahrain on Monday as emergency sirens were activated nationwide in response to Iranian missile strikes targeting U.S. military bases in neighboring Qatar and Iraq. The rare alarm prompted an immediate public safety advisory from Bahraini authorities, urging citizens and residents to remain calm and seek shelter.
In a series of urgent social media updates, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior confirmed the sirens were part of a national alert system triggered by escalating regional threats. “The siren has been sounded. Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place,” read one official post.
