President Donald Trump has revoked Joe Biden’s security clearance, escalated efforts to dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and frozen aid to South Africa.

The 78-year-old President also made an unexpected move by naming himself head of the Kennedy Center, one of Washington’s most prestigious cultural institutions.

Traditionally, former U.S. presidents retain the right to receive intelligence briefings even after leaving office. This practice allows them to stay informed on national security matters and provide counsel if needed.

However, Trump’s decision signals a clear break from that precedent, reinforcing his commitment to removing Biden from any remaining influence over national affairs.

Alongside this move, Trump ramped up his crackdown on USAID, the government agency responsible for distributing humanitarian aid and promoting American influence globally.

While details on his exact plans remain unclear, Trump has long been critical of foreign aid spending, often questioning its effectiveness and alignment with U.S. interests. His administration now appears to be taking active steps to curtail or even dismantle the agency’s operations.

In another surprise move, Trump halted aid to South Africa, a country that has recently been in the spotlight due to its political and economic challenges.
