The Nigeria Police Force has released dedicated emergency and complaint hotlines for residents and stakeholders ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The police urged members of the public to use the designated contacts to report emergencies, security threats and other election-related incidents during the electoral process.
For election-related emergencies, the DIG Election can be reached on 08139235585, while the CP Election contact is 08134277587. The police also provided 08108756818 as the designated control room number.
The Force separately released three numbers for reporting cases of police misconduct. Members of the public can contact the Complaint Response Unit on 08057000001, 08057000002 or 08057000003.
The police said the channels were provided to enable prompt reporting of security concerns and election-related incidents as preparations for the poll intensify.
With heightened attention on security ahead of the election, voters and other stakeholders have been encouraged to remain peaceful and report suspicious activities or incidents through the designated channels rather than take matters into their own hands.
The release of the emergency contacts comes as security agencies intensify preparations across Osun State to ensure a safe and orderly electoral process.
