Jazmyne Wike, daughter of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom.
Jazmyne earned an Upper Second-Class Honours degree during the university’s graduation ceremony held on Wednesday, an event attended by her family, political associates, and several prominent Nigerian dignitaries.
The milestone was shared by the FCT Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, in a post on his official Facebook page. According to Olayinka, Nyesom Wike attended the ceremony alongside his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, to celebrate their daughter’s academic achievement.
The graduation attracted a number of high-profile guests from Nigeria’s political landscape. Among those in attendance were Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Prof. Sandy Onor, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara, PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Taofeek Arapaja, and several other political figures and public office holders.
Also present were Hon. Kingsley Chinda, Executive Director of Projects at the South South Development Commission, Hon. Marcus Nle Ejii, House of Representatives member Hon. Victor Obuzor, and This Nigeria Newspapers Publisher, Eric Osagie, among other invited guests who joined the Wike family for the celebration.
The graduation marks an important academic milestone for Jazmyne Wike, who successfully completed her legal studies at one of the United Kingdom’s respected universities. Her achievement was celebrated by family members, friends, and political associates who gathered to witness the occasion.
