Veteran Nigerian music icon 2Baba Idibia has stirred conversation after making a blunt and candid remark during the Faze homecoming concert, urging fans to focus on more pressing national issues rather than online controversies.
Speaking on stage, the Afrobeats legend brushed aside what he described as “nonsense,” stressing that Nigeria is grappling with far more serious challenges that deserve public attention. According to him, entertainers should not always be at the center of public discourse when the country faces deep-rooted social and economic problems.
“Ignore all that nonsense,” 2Baba said. “So many serious things are happening in Nigeria. I no entertain una too much for that space. Face more important things.”
His statement was met with loud reactions from the audience, many of whom applauded his honesty and long-standing reputation for speaking truth to power. The singer has consistently used his platform to advocate for social justice, good governance, and national consciousness.
