Heavy rainfall overnight into Tuesday morning has caused widespread flooding across Israel, with central regions near Dolev among the hardest hit. According to the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority, water levels in some areas rose to over one meter, prompting urgent rescue operations.

First responders have been working around the clock, rescuing dozens of people trapped in homes and vehicles across the country. Israeli media also reported that a section of the security fence in the West Bank collapsed due to the intense flooding.

In one of the most critical incidents, emergency teams rescued 10 people — including a mother and her infant — from the West Bank community of Elkana. Shift Commander Reshef Tomer said the team responded swiftly after receiving reports of residents stranded in their homes. “Upon arrival, we made contact with the civilians and evacuated them from their homes unharmed,” he said.

The severe flooding has disrupted transportation, damaged infrastructure, and raised concerns about further rainfall expected in the coming days. Authorities are urging residents in flood-prone areas to remain alert and follow safety instructions as emergency teams continue monitoring the situation.
