Bishop David Oyedepo has strongly condemned the surge in violent attacks by Islamic extremists across the country, insisting that Nigeria will not be turned into an Islamic state despite ongoing threats. Speaking passionately, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide described the escalating assaults as acts of destruction meant to instill fear and destabilize communities.

According to Bishop Oyedepo, the church recently suffered a devastating attack in which five worshippers were shot dead, while thirty-five others were abducted by armed militants. He revealed that the kidnappers have since contacted the victims’ families and are already demanding ransom for their release.

The bishop emphasized that, despite these horrific incidents, Nigerians must remain steadfast, declaring that believers serve “a higher God” who ultimately prevails over evil. He reassured Christians across the country that no extremist agenda would succeed in reshaping the nation’s identity or religious freedom.
