Panic in Kebbi as Bandits Attack Girls’ Secondary School, Kill Vice Principal and Abduct Students

Panic has swept through the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State following a deadly attack on Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area. Armed bandits stormed the school late at night, killing the Vice Principal and abducting an unspecified number of students.

The slain Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, was reportedly shot while trying to protect his students from the attackers. His death has left the community in deep grief, as residents describe him as a dedicated educator who made a final attempt to safeguard the school’s children.

Eyewitness and resident, Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, confirmed that the assailants gained access to the school without resistance, unleashing fear and chaos throughout the area. She added that the community has been thrown into shock, with families desperate for information about the missing students.
