Tragedy in Asaba as Woman Crushed to Death by Dangote Cement Truck

A tragic accident occurred on Monday afternoon at 74 Junction, along Anwai Road in Asaba, Delta State, when a Dangote Cement truck reportedly crushed a woman to death.

Eyewitnesses said the fatal incident caused chaos in the area as residents and passersby gathered at the scene, expressing outrage and grief. The victim, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, was said to have been attempting to cross the busy road when the speeding truck lost control and ran over her.

The accident brought traffic to a standstill, as sympathizers and motorists struggled to navigate the scene. Local authorities and emergency responders later arrived to manage the situation and evacuate the victim’s remains.

Residents of Asaba have also urged the government to improve road safety measures and ensure that logistics companies like Dangote Cement enforce stricter driver compliance and vehicle maintenance standards to prevent future occurrences.
