The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo the winner of the Anambra 2025 governorship election.
The election, which commenced on Saturday, concluded peacefully with results announced in the early hours of Sunday. According to INEC, Soludo secured a landslide victory, winning across all 21 local government areas of the South-East state.
The incumbent governor, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was widely celebrated by supporters for his decisive win, which reaffirmed his stronghold in the state.
INEC officials described the electoral process as largely free and fair, noting that voter turnout was encouraging in most polling units despite minor logistical challenges.
Governor Soludo’s re-election marks a continuation of his administration’s development agenda and reform policies, which have focused on infrastructure, education, and economic growth in Anambra State.
As the results were announced, Soludo expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra for their trust and renewed mandate, promising to “continue building a prosperous, secure, and united state.”
