The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted a fierce political contest in Abia State if Mascot Uzor Kalu decides to run in the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking during a media session on Saturday, the cleric said the Abia governorship race would be “very tough” for the incumbent governor, Dr. Alex Otti, should the younger brother of former Abia Governor Orji Uzor Kalu enter the contest.
“In Abia State, if Mascot Uzor Kalu contests for the 2027 governorship election, it’s going to be tough for Governor Alex Otti. It’s going to be very tough,” Ayodele stated.
The popular prophet, known for his political prophecies, noted that the political dynamics in Abia are shifting and that Otti’s re-election bid could face strong resistance if Mascot Kalu decides to challenge him.
Primate Ayodele also hinted that several states in Nigeria would witness unexpected political twists ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging political leaders to remain vigilant and responsive to public sentiment.
The 2027 Abia governorship election is already drawing early interest, with observers predicting a potentially competitive race between the Labour Party and opposition figures across major political blocs in the state.
