Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, has sparked conversations with his recent advice to women during a church service. Addressing female members of the congregation, he emphasized that women are not meant to “build” their men but rather support them as they pursue their purpose.

According to Pastor Idowu, the role of a woman in a relationship is not to take on the responsibility of shaping or constructing a man’s life, but to provide encouragement, support, and partnership. He stressed that while support is essential, the responsibility for growth and self-development ultimately rests on the man himself.

His statement, “Ladies should stop building their men; you are meant to support them, not build them,” has stirred discussions both within and outside the church, especially around modern-day relationship expectations.

The pastor’s message highlights the importance of balance in relationships, where both partners take personal responsibility for their growth while still offering mutual support. For many, his words serve as a reminder that healthy partnerships thrive when individuals come together as whole, purposeful beings, rather than one partner carrying the sole burden of development.
