The National Assembly has officially unsealed the office of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, signaling her likely return to legislative duties after a six-month suspension.

Her office, located in Suite 2.05 of the Senate Wing, was reopened on Tuesday by the Deputy Director of the Sergeant-at-Arms, Alabi Adedeji. The move comes just days before the Senate is scheduled to resume plenary on October 7, 2025.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, had written to the leadership of the upper chamber last week to formally notify them of her intention to return to duty. Her reinstatement is expected to end months of political controversy surrounding her suspension and pave the way for her active participation in Senate activities once again.

The development has drawn attention both within and outside the National Assembly, as her return could reshape ongoing legislative debates and dynamics in the Red Chamber.
