Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has opened up about her dating experiences, revealing that she has never been in a relationship with a man more financially stable than herself.
Speaking on a recent podcast, the actress disclosed that she has “dated down” multiple times but has decided not to continue with such relationships.
“I’ve never dated someone who has more money than I do. I’ve dated down three times, and I’m not doing that anymore,” Nkechi said, adding that her decision is not based on materialism but on the importance of financial balance in her relationships.
Her revelation comes months after her breakup with her younger boyfriend, Xxssive, whom she started dating in 2021. The relationship, often displayed on social media, ended after the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram. Nkechi later confirmed the split, clarifying that there was no animosity and that she is currently enjoying her single life.
Despite frequent criticism over her preference for younger partners, the actress has maintained that she is unbothered by public opinion and focused on her personal growth.
