Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended warm birthday wishes to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as a “dear friend” and pledging to further strengthen the ties between India and Israel.

In a video message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Netanyahu praised Modi for his leadership and accomplishments in advancing India’s progress. He highlighted the growing bond between the two nations and expressed optimism about taking their partnership “to new heights.”

“Prime Minister Modi, my good friend Narendra, I want to wish you a happy birthday. You’ve accomplished so much for India, and together we’ve achieved a great deal in strengthening the friendship between India and Israel. I look forward to seeing you soon, so we can take our partnership to even greater heights. Happy birthday, my friend,” Netanyahu said in his message.

The Israeli leader’s remarks came as Prime Minister Modi celebrated his 75th birthday. Born on September 17, 1950, in Mehsana, Gujarat, Modi served as the state’s Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014 before assuming office as India’s Prime Minister. He is currently serving his third consecutive term since 2014.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office captioned the video with the words: “Happy birthday to my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Together we will take our partnership to new heights.”

India and Israel enjoy a strong bilateral relationship rooted in shared democratic values, technological innovation, defense cooperation, and economic collaboration. Under the leadership of Modi and Netanyahu, this strategic partnership has grown steadily, with both countries emphasizing innovation, security, and cultural exchange.
