Nigerian streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has cleared the air on his recent comments about his collaboration with Afrobeats star Davido after clips of his remarks went viral online.
In the trending video, Peller was heard downplaying the livestream session he once had with Davido, sparking criticism and speculation that he was being ungrateful to the singer. However, addressing the controversy, Peller insisted that his words had been twisted by bloggers who, according to him, were bent on damaging his reputation and straining his relationship with Davido.
“When Davido and I did a livestream together, my life changed for good. Davido impacted my life positively,” Peller said. “I didn’t mean what was portrayed in the viral clips. Bloggers are only trying to tarnish my image so that Davido will unfollow me.”
The content creator emphasized his gratitude to Davido, describing the superstar as a huge influence on his career. He explained that the livestream not only boosted his visibility but also opened doors for him in the digital entertainment space.
Peller’s clarification comes amid ongoing debates on social media, where fans of Davido had criticized him for allegedly dismissing the singer’s support. By addressing the issue directly, he hopes to put an end to the narrative that he is unappreciative.
